Central University of Europe is pleased to announce the launch of a new scientific collaboration with Alberta College in Latvia, following recent Erasmus+ mobility exchanges and fruitful academic discussions. This partnership marks a significant step forward in fostering international academic cooperation and joint research between Georgia and Latvia.
As part of this collaboration, several professors from Central University of Europe have expressed their interest in co-authoring scientific papers with their Latvian counterparts. The following faculty members from Central University of Europe will engage in collaborative research:
- Prof. Tea Valishvili and Prof. Lia Genelidze will work alongside Ilze Krumiņa, Director of the Study Programmes in Digital Marketing and Public Relations at Alberta College, on the topic: “Sustainable Brand Communication and Gen Z Perception in Latvia and Georgia: A Comparative Analysis of Brand Image, Messaging, and Choice Factors.”
- Prof. Malkhaz Dzadzua will collaborate with Līga Sileniece, Director of the Study Programme in Legal Regulation of Business, on: “Green Business Transition Drivers for SMEs in Latvia and Georgia: A Comparative Analysis.”
- Prof. Ketevan Kukhianidze will join efforts with Sandra Tetere, Director of the Study Programme in Entrepreneurship, on: “Enhancing Entrepreneurial Competence Development in Higher Education: A Comparative Study of Latvia and Georgia.”
The research process will begin remotely, with a preliminary research plan expected by October 2025, followed by in-person meetings in Georgia during planned visits from Alberta College professors. The goal is to present joint papers at international conferences, such as the ETECH Conference in Riga (2026) or relevant academic events in Georgia, including CUE’s own Multidisciplinary International Scientific Conference: Sustainable Development, Institutions, and Global Challenges.
In addition to scientific collaboration, Alberta College professors will deliver guest lectures in Kutaisi and Tbilisi during their upcoming visits in October 2025. Topics will include Influencer Marketing, Time Management and Productivity, Green Business Transition, The Future of Work and AI, Diversity and Inclusion, and other timely subjects relevant to today’s academic and professional environment.
This initiative reflects Central University of Europe’s strong commitment to internationalization, academic excellence, and collaborative research that addresses pressing global and regional challenges. We look forward to a productive partnership and the many exciting opportunities this cooperation will bring.
