On June 23, 2025, The Central University of Europe hosted Dr. Andreea Ignat, a representative of Dimitrie Cantemir University (Romania), within the framework of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility program.
Dr. Ignat delivered a lecture titled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Banking and Financial Sector: Innovation, Ethics, and the Future,” in which she discussed how AI is transforming the global financial landscape.
The lecture was based on recent research and practical examples, highlighting the ethical aspects of technological development and the evolving role of the human factor in the digital economy.
The event was attended by students and academic staff from the Business Administration, Law, Economics, Accounting and Auditing, and Finance programs.
At the end of the session, a Q&A discussion explored how professional fields are expected to change in the context of AI advancement.
Dr. Ignat’s visit strengthened the cooperation between the Central European University and Dimitrie Cantemir University and expanded the prospects for future educational initiatives within the Erasmus+ program.
