A public lecture titled “Overview of the HIV/AIDS Situation” was held at the Central University of Europe

At the Central University of Europe , Dr. Nino Badridze, MD, Associate Professor at the European University, delivered a public lecture on the topic “Overview of the HIV/AIDS Situation.”

The main purpose of the lecture was to raise students’ awareness of the risks associated with HIV infection, to combat stigma, and to discuss methods of prevention and treatment.

Dr. Nino Badridze provided attendees with a detailed overview of the epidemiological characteristics of HIV/AIDS and modern approaches to managing the condition.

As part of the public lecture, guest lecturer Lali Chkhikvadze spoke about HIV testing practices.

A significant part of the event was dedicated to the Red Ribbon ceremony. Students from the Faculty of Medicine presented the importance of this symbol, recognized worldwide as a sign of the fight against AIDS and as a tool for raising public awareness about the disease.

During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on myths and realities related to HIV infection. After the interactive informational session, students’ knowledge was assessed through thematic questions, and those who answered correctly received symbolic gifts.

At the conclusion of the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Central University of Europe expressed gratitude to all participants and presented certificates to the students who had made significant contributions to the successful implementation of the event.
