International Training Course Organized by Central University of Europe in Norway has ended

A fully funded international training course took place on August 18-22 at the Utøya Democracy Learning Center on the Norwegian island of Utøya.

The project was organized with the support of the Central University of Europe in partnership with international organizations Be.long and Utøya Democracy Learning Center.

During the five-day training, students deepened their knowledge of critical thinking, media literacy, civic awareness and dialogue through non-formal education methods. The meetings were held in an interactive format, including role-playing games, disinformation detection and other practical exercises.

The training participants also met with Åsmund Grøver Aukrust, Minister for International Development of Norway, with whom they discussed the importance of international solidarity in today’s world.

At the end of the project, the students held a presentation about Georgia, where they introduced the Norwegian participants to Georgian culture – traditional dances and songs, unique winemaking traditions, and also talked about the common history and values ​​of Norway and Georgia.
