Numerous examples of countries are given that confirm the possibility of rapid development of a country in this direction if the corresponding potential is available. Accordingly, it is quite possible that Georgia, with \u201cgood will,\u201d can develop at a rapid pace, which will also lead to a reduction in the migration process.<\/p>\n<p>In the paper, the authors focus on the role of science and research in general in ensuring the improvement of a country\u2019s socio-economic conditions. Examples are provided from developed countries (the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and others) regarding the expenditures they allocate to scientific research. Particular attention is given to the introduction of innovative factors in modern science, education, and the overall formation of a contemporary economic system within society. The article highlights the role of science in public life and the measures that should be undertaken by the Government of Georgia in this regard. It emphasizes that the innovative path of development is generally oriented toward the continuous renewal of socially significant qualities in goods and services, something that cannot be achieved without the active advancement of fundamental scientific knowledge. The article further notes that education always plays a priority role in attracting and developing innovative methods in science. A deeper understanding of the role of education\u2014alongside science as the core of the modern economy\u2014must be reflected in a significant increase in investments in the field of education, since such investments enabled developed countries to transition to the post-industrial stage of development. Finally, the authors present their vision of the steps that should be taken in Georgia to ensure the establishment of an innovative economy and the country\u2019s economic sustainability.
