Due to the danger posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year\u2019s edition of the Perspektywy Women in Tech<\/p>\n
Summit 2020 will take place fully online. Last year\u2019s edition of the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit drew to<\/p>\n
Warsaw about 6,350 participants from over 50 countries of the world.<\/p>\n
The event is intended for young women who studied or graduated from IT and technological studies at<\/p>\n
universities, as well as female employees of government organizations, NGOs, and others specializing or<\/p>\n
working in computerization, technologisation, IT, or related sectors.<\/p>\n
The event received support from the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (as part of the DIALOG<\/p>\n
program) and is a part of the 2019\u20132021 Poland IT Hub for You project. It provides its participants with an<\/p>\n
excellent opportunity to learn about the newest achievements in technology, to access inspiring online<\/p>\n
meetings and conversations, with an opportunity and inspiration to plan further education in new technologies,<\/p>\n
science career in this area, and a chance to find work in IT & Tech companies, local or global, active in Poland.<\/p>\n
The world\u2019s biggest brands will appear at the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2020, such as Google,<\/p>\n
Facebook, Amazon, 3M, Disco, Huawei, Intel, P&G, UBS, Citi, Nike, Accenture, Fujitsu, Ericsson, TomTom, PwC, and others, as well as Polish companies, especially from the gaming industry. The participants will have a chance<\/p>\n
to contact and talk to over 40 employers representing the biggest global brands and the best universities in<\/p>\n
Poland. Participation in this event also means an opportunity to exchange contact data with a potential<\/p>\n
employer!<\/p>\n
Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2020 also means two days full of content and meetings! Over 50 speeches<\/p>\n
by speakers from all over the world, 30 tech talks, 60 tech, and soft-skill workshops, over 200 mentoring sessions<\/p>\n
and themed networking!<\/p>\n
We will speak about how technology manages in the difficult COVID-19 reality. We will present case studies by<\/p>\n
companies such as 3M, Google, or Facebook. We will talk about leadership during a crisis and about effective<\/p>\n
ways of supporting employees and managing organizations in the pandemic world. We will take a look at what<\/p>\n
the future of AI seems like. We will share solutions for taking care of data security when the entire world switched<\/p>\n
to online work. We will discuss whether 5G interferes with the environment etc.<\/p>\n
The Summit will be opened by Mariya Gabriel, the charismatic EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research,<\/p>\n
Culture, Education, and Youth, who has been fighting for the presence and visibility of women in IT for years. The<\/p>\n
speakers will also include Professor Jennifer Widom, the first woman to become the Dean of the Stanford<\/p>\n
University School of Engineering. As each year, there will be an inspirational speech by Georgette Mosbacher,<\/p>\n
the US Ambassador to Poland.<\/p>\n
We want to invite you for two intense days of tech workshops, tech talks, keynote speeches from the biggest<\/p>\n
technology companies, and the most ambitious research centers mentoring sessions, career counseling, and<\/p>\n
side events. We believe that, as every year, the technological magic and scale of the event will provide each one<\/p>\n
of the participants with a solid dose of inspiration and energy for further action.<\/p>\n
