As part of student activity under the framework of the international CURE project following the information provided by Tamar Mosiashvili, a representative of one of our partner institutions “Civic Development Institute”, our student Kote Lekvinadze submitted a proposal for a grant competition on behalf of Kutaisi University.
The grant proposal for the sum of GEL 2500 was prepared with the help of CURE project teachers and researchers Tinatin Meparishvili and Giorgi Chumburidze. On September 22, an agreement was signed between “Civic Development Institute” and LLC “Kutaisi University” at Rooms Hotel Tbilisi. Participants of the winning projects presented advocacy activities to the public. Among these was the presentation by Kutaisi University student Kote Lekvinadze outlining future activities: visits to schools in Kutaisi as well as regions, informing them and getting acquainted with the administration, lectures for school pupils, debates between schools, final meeting and awarding the winners. Project implementation will start in the beginning of October. We feel confident that together we will succeed in raising public interest towards the state of affairs in the field of education and manage to gain their support.
