A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Central University of Europe and the European Public Law Organization

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Central University of Europe and the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) on January 19.

The Memorandum is a comprehensive document that envisages broad academic cooperation between the Central University of Europe and EPLO’s European Law and Governance School (ELGS). It aims to promote collaboration in academic, educational, and research activities, fostering closer institutional ties between the two institutions.

Under the Memorandum, an ELGS campus will be established at CUE, enabling students to enroll in all three levels of ELGS degree programs in Law and Public Administration.

Joint dual-degree programs will be developed between CUE and ELGS, and CUE will offer interested participants EPLO-certified professional development, career advancement, and capacity-building programs.

In addition, ELGS summer and winter schools hosted at EPLO campuses in Greece, Italy, and Portugal will become accessible to CUE students. CUE students will also have the opportunity to continue their studies at these ELGS campuses through Erasmus+ mobility programs.

The ELGS campus established at the Central University of Europe is the first and only ELGS campus located outside the European Union.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Vasiliki Likoura, Director General of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), and Gocha Tutberidze, Rector of the Central University of Europe.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ambassador Ioseb Nanobashvili, Regional Director of EPLO for Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. He presented to CUE students and academic staff the activities of the European Public Law Organization, the structure of EPLO’s university – the European Law and Governance School (ELGS), ELGS’s administrative framework, and its academic faculty. He also outlined the key opportunities available to CUE students under the Memorandum of Cooperation concluded between EPLO and CUE.
