The primary objective of the visit was to discuss opportunities for educational and scholarly cooperation, as well as to support the doctoral candidate’s ongoing research.
During the visit, Papazov held an academic meeting with Gocha Ugulava, Head of the Institute for Economic Research at the Central university of Europe . The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for future joint scholarly publications involving CUE students.
The discussion also addressed Papazov’s potential participation in academic conferences and examined how a comparative analysis of Georgian and Bulgarian monastic traditions could enrich his doctoral dissertation.
In light of his research interests, the University organized a visit for the guest researcher to the religious and cultural heritage sites of the Imereti region. Papazov visited Gelati Monastery (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Motsameta Monastery, and Bagrati Cathedral.
The visit laid a solid foundation for the further development of cooperation between St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo and the Central university of Europe, as well as for future initiatives in intercultural and comparative research. The experience gained and the academic contacts established during the visit will make a significant contribution to Papazov’s doctoral research.
