Assistant Professor Iago Tsertsvadze of the “Central University of Europe” successfully completed the Erasmus International Mobility Program in the Romanian capital Bucharest.
From March 3 to 9, 2025, Assistant Professor Tsertsvadze visited the Faculty of Medicine of the Titu Maiorescu Medical University, which is an important step for the “Central University of Europe” in the direction of developing international academic cooperation.
The main objectives of the visit included sharing experience between universities, discussing prospects for future cooperation, and getting acquainted with new teaching methods in higher education. Within the framework of the mobility, meetings were held with the academic staff of the university, and modern simulation laboratories and clinical bases were visited.
One of the most important components of the program was a lecture for students of the Medical University of Bucharest on the topic “Acute Stroke Management in the Era of Thrombectomy”. This lecture was a presentation of modern neurosurgical methods, which strengthens the international reputation of the academic staff of the “Central University of Europe”.
Iago Tsertsvadze is an Assistant Professor at the “Central University of Europe” and Head of the Neurosurgery Department of the Medical Center of West Georgia. Titu Maiorescu University, founded in 1990, is one of the leading private universities in Romania, located in Bucharest. The university is famous for its medical programs and maintains strong international partnerships throughout Europe. Named after the Romanian literary critic and politician Titu Maiorescu, the institute has established itself as a center for medical education and research, with modern facilities and a commitment to international academic exchange.
This mobility once again confirms the open and progressive approach of the Central University of Europe to international cooperation and contributes to the integration of Georgian higher education into the European academic space.
